Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created & hosted by the blogging masterminds over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week is a holiday gift guide freebie, and let me tell you, I added at least 25 books to my wishlist for next month. I don’t typically buy books, especially books I haven’t already read, but I try to make an exception around Christmastime and really treat myself as far as buying books goes. Maybe I’ll do a Christmas book haul post if I get some of the ones on my list! Here are my top 10 from the official wishlist on my Amazon account:
I’ve already read all but one book on this list, and I added Vicious because of how utterly fantastic V. E. Schwab’s other books are. I read A Darker Shade of Magic and A Gathering of Shadows earlier this year – both blew me away, beyond compare. I personally adore the UK editions of each, although the original cover of Vicious is my favorite for that book. I am hoping that I enjoy it as much as her other works, especially when it has been so hyped up for me.
Of course I have A Court of Thorns and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury on my list, as a part of my goal to own every single one of SJM’s books. I made a special note on my wishlist to buy the Target exclusive edition of ACOMAF because of the short story in the back (which wrecked my mortal soul) but I’m not sure if there is an exclusive edition available for ACOTAR. I also added the paperback version of Queen of Shadows because I own paperbacks for the entire rest of the series, although I’ll have to wait on Empire of Storms unless I want to get the UK edition (which is pretty, but I like all the colors!) The same situation goes for Dead Heat, now that it too is finally in mass market paperback. I am such a sucker for mass market paperbacks of my favorite PNR novels, y’all.
I actually already own a copy of Soulless vol. 3, but I spilled tea all over my copy, and want to replace it before I return it to my mom’s personal library. I don’t think she’s noticed that I took it, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. She also has a copy of Neverwhere that I borrowed for a short amount of time, but I found out over Thanksgiving that Neil Gaiman recently had Author’s Preferred Edition copies printed, and I DEFINITELY want to read that one. Absolutely at the top of my wishlist, since I love his books so much, and any edits by him can only be improvements. I’ve already read the introduction for the new edition that totally confirms this.
What books are on your wishlist? Have you read any of these? Link your TTT below!

This is a really good list! I’m still yet to read any of VE Schwab (I’m ashamed) so I’m totally adding that to my Wishlist!

I thought her books were fantastic, and the covers are seriously to die for. I hope you’re able to read them soon, and enjoy them as much as I did! 🙂

WAIT, THERE’S AN EXCLUSIVE SHORT STORY IN THE BACK OF THE TARGET EDITION OF ACOMAF?? I literally JUST (as in, uh, last night) ordered my copy from Amazon. Whyyy did I not know of this yesterday? Excuse me while I melt into a puddle of horror. Looks like I’ll have to take a trip to Target and nonchalantly read the short story in-store. So long as it won’t make me break into sobs; I don’t do sobbing in public. (Will it make me sob? I must know.)
Excellent list! I hope you do treat yourself to all of them, and then make us all jealous with pictures of your lovely haul. =)

I AM SO SORRY YOU MISSED THIS, OH MY GOODNESS! I read it on a whim while shopping for new towels, and I would probably pay money to see what I looked like on camera while reading that gift of a story. It’s a Cassian & Nesta story that explains why he was in such a grumpy mood when returning to the Night Court after mailing Rhys’s letter to the mortal queens :3 Seriously, when you can, journey over and read it. It’s all giggles and glee, I promise. There is ALSO a short story in the Empire of Storms Target edition, which is a deleted/bonus scene from Heir of Fire! That one had me near-crying from laughing out loud. I had to cover my face several times to contain it when actual shoppers walked by.
Any that I don’t get for Christmas, I will be buying for myself. I will absolutely do a Christmas book haul post if I get more than a couple of them that day. So excited ❤

Giggles and glee? I’m down af. =D
If I end up loving and buying the entire ToG series, I’ll definitely keep that in mind! Can’t make the same mistake twice.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you get all the gift-books. =D

What will you do if your mother reads this review and finds out that you took her copies? WHAT WILL YOU DO.
Well, you’d better figure it out because I just did….
