Celebrating the Little Things Tag

Happy Wednesday! I’m finally getting around to doing this tag that’s been sitting in my queue since November (yikes!) – thanks so much to Heather @ The Sassy Book Geek for tagging me in this! Definitely go back and check out her answers and the rest of her sassy and fantastic blog.

Who was your very first follower (if you can find them?) Tag them and give them a shout out!

I save all my emails so I was able to find my first follower, but her account has been deactivated since then! I will give a shoutout to my first follower after that who is still active though: Clémence @ Clemi’s Bookish World! Merci beaucoup Clemi ♥

What was the last milestone you reached?

I just reached 100 posts yesterday, which was super exciting for a year and a day after my first blog post. I’m hoping to reach 200 by the end of this year.

What was the very first post you posted on your blog? Share it with us!

About – a little different from my introduction post, but important nonetheless.

Who was your most recent follower? Tag them and give them a shout out!

Ashley & Miriam @ Flying Through Fiction – thanks so much! Love your blog!

What was the last post you posted and who was the very first person who took their time to click the like button? Give them a shout out!

My last post was yesterday’s Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten 2017 Debuts I’m Excited For, and the first person who liked it was Kim @ By Hook or by Book! Many thanks, friend!

How many months have you been blogging for?

 Just reached my one-year milestone!

Do you have any bloggers you’re friends with? Give them a shout out.

I’m always paranoid I’ll tag somebody and they’ll be like, “excuse me, we aren’t friends, nice try!” but I’m gonna #daretodream and give a shout out to Clemi, Kim, Liam @ Hey Ashers!, Beth @ Reading Every Night, and Danielle @ Books, Vertigo and Tea – congrats, guys, we comment on each others’ posts so much that you’ve been upgraded by my awkward self to friendship status. Happy New Year. ❤

Who originally created the last meme or tag you participated in? Give them a shout out!

The Broke and the Bookish do Top Ten Tuesday every week, and I love them for it.

Have you any social media related to your blog?

I made a bookstagram and a Tumblr, but they’re hilariously bad and I don’t use them enough to warrant putting them on my blog. I’ve claimed the dianaprincereviews URL on Twitter as well, but it’s really just, like, me being a weirdo once or twice a month, and occasionally tweeting @veschwab, @sjmaas or @deannaraybourn “HI, I LOVE YOU? SORRY IF THIS IS WEIRD FOR YOU BUT YOU CHANGED MY LIFE.”

Last but not least …. just say thanks to all your followers.

You’re all beautiful creatures and I’m so thankful to have you around! Thanks, guys!!

  1. Congrats on your 100th post! *Confetti rains!*

    Friendship status: confirmed.

Ahaha, I love your use of Twitter. It’s definitely a great place to shyly stalk favorite authors. (The other day, C. S. Pacat liked one of my tweets about her, and I just about DIED. I’m still recovering from the joy of it.)

But oh, I’d love to see your Tumblr and Instagram, even if you don’t use them much. I’m on Tumblr, but only, like, a couple hours a week. I’m endlessly amazed by the people who manage to have a queue of posts going up 24/7; maybe I’ll dabble in that magic some day.

    1. Thank you, friend! ❤ It was pretty awesome to kick off my one year of blogging with 100 posts + 200 followers back to back, and has put me in pretty high spirits going forward.
The best thing about social media is absolutely peeking in at the lives of authors, second only to embarrassing myself in front of the entire internet and gleefully remembering that virtually no one notices when I do so. If you would truly like to change that fact, I've claimed the URL @dianaprincereviews on Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr, so I shouldn't be too hard to find, but man oh man are they woefully inactive a majority of the time. My personal Tumblr @indecisivesailorscout gets a lot more attention, even though it's not nearly as much time as I devoted to it in grade school. I spent a pretty solid 12 hours a week on that site before adulthood caught up with me, LOL.

      1. It’s definitely something to celebrate!

Ha, you describe the joy of social media *perfectly.* I’ve officially stalked you on all the things, except Twitter, because Twitter is very certain you’re not a real person who exists. Come on, Twitter, what’s your deal.

      2. OH MY GOD, LIAM, I can’t talk about it on Twitter because it’s all on my Twitter BUT in the last day ALONE I had my tweets liked by Eric Lindstrom (Not If I See You First), V.E. Schwab (A Darker Shade of Magic), Susan Dennard (Truthwitch), Hannah Moskowitz (Gena/Finn), Anna-Marie McLemore (When The Moon Was Ours), Jessica Cluess (A Shadow Bright and Burning), AND Deanna Raybourn (A Curious Beginning) – the last 3 of whom TWEETED BACK AT ME. I’ve been screaming into pillows all day about it. I think I called my mom twice. I’m such a dork.

    1. Ahaha, I’m glad I’m not the only one with a backlog of tags. Also, I seriously had a moment where I was like, “do I have friends????” and felt a little silly, but I’m happy that your name came to mind and I sincerely appreciate the congrats + comment itself. Thanks so much, friend 😀

  3. thanks so much for the tag, I was writing a blog post about some new resolutions, and getting tagged was one of them 😀 It is still a draft, but I will post it in a few minutes and then do the tag ❤
