Book Traveling Thursdays: New Year, New Books

Back in business with this exciting weekly blog post! Each topic for the weekly meme is created by the ever-lovely Cátia @ The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. The goal is to share the covers of a book related to that week’s theme, which you can see at the Goodreads group, indicating the original cover, the one of your country, your favorite and least favorite.

This week’s topic is With a new year come new books… Choose your first read of 2017.

Original Cover + Cover from the United States:

So…this is actually my second book of 2016, because my first book (Scythe) only has one cover for every edition. It just came out, and I’m not surprised, but I wanted a little bit of nuance with these covers. Enter Blood Red, Snow White! Contrary to what the title would suggest, this isn’t a Snow White retelling – rather, it is a historical fiction novel detailing the Russian revolution from the perspective of a young British journalist.

Favorite Cover(s):

The new re-release cover is suuuuuper pretty, and what originally drew me in! It definitely shows the long way graphic design has come since the original 2008 release.

Least Favorite Cover(s):

Why is his name so big? Why not make the title big and nice looking? This is just weird. I don’t like it. Do better, please.

What do you think about these covers? Link your own BTT in the comments below!
