Book Traveling Thursdays: Here’s to Different Worlds

Back in business with this exciting weekly blog post! Each topic for the weekly meme is created by the ever-lovely Cátia @ The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog. The goal is to share the covers of a book related to that week’s theme, which you can see at the Goodreads group, indicating the original cover, the one of your country, your favorite and least favorite.

This week’s topic is: Choose a book set in a fictional world.

Original + US cover of one of the best books of 2016:

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Six of Crows yet. I LOVED it, I named characters in High School Story after the Dregs (yes, I still play this game, fight me) and yet I can’t seem to formulate a solid review from it. Maybe I just want to read it again. It was incredible.

Favorite Cover(s):

When a cover makes you breathe the word “wow,” you know it’s a good one. Both the Portuguese and the Serbian covers (respectively) blew me away with the artwork and attention to detail. I love the US cover, but I’d kill to own either of these.

Least Favorite Cover(s)

I still actually like the French and Persian covers a ton. The Persian one especially looks like it belongs on a graphic novel version of the book, which I’d read in a heartbeat. I guess it just looks a little weird to see other people’s imaginings of what the main characters look like? I’m not sure, but yeah, still good.

  1. Great choices! I especially like the Serbian one! Such great detail. And the French cover is very cool, but I agree, I’m not much a fan of seeing other people’s imaginings of the characters on the cover. I think the US one is still my favorite out of them all, though. I’m glad you loved Six of Crows! Can’t wait to read your review on it 😀
