Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly meme hosted by the incredible bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish.
Without further ado…(covers at the bottom!)
- Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas: Throne of Glass skyrocketed into my favorite books list when I read it for the first time last year, and I’ve been hooked on all of Sarah’s books ever since. This one (with a cover to explode minds with how incredible it is) is no exception.
- Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor: It’s been two years since we’ve seen anything from Laini, and I am on the edge of my seat in anticipation for her next novel coming out in September!
- Magic Binds by Ilona Andrews: Anyone who’s been following me for a while knows how much of a diehard fan I am for the Kate Daniels series. Book 9 comes out this September. I already reread the entire series once this year, but you know I will do it again just to be fully prepared for this magnificence.
- Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo: I just finished Six of Crows not two days ago. The sequel officially has a spot in my top five most anticipated releases.
- A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir: I’ve heard awesome things from ARC readers and reviewers about how greatly improved this one is over the first, so I am eagerly awaiting to see where the story goes.
- A Million Worlds With You by Claudia Gray: This series really surprised me, and I just can’t wait to see how it ends! (Also, wow, cover love.)
- Saga, volume 6 by Brian K. Vaughn & Fiona Staples: I don’t talk too much about graphic novels on here, but I am super pumped for this release next month. The series has taken a lot of dark and twisted turns in the past few volumes, and I expect nothing less from volume six.
- Three The Hard Way by Matt Fraction & Chip Zdarksy: Another graphic novel because holy crap, Sex Criminals is just such an original and clever series that I totally adore. Volume 3 comes out next week, so it just makes this list!
- Timekeeper by Tara Sim: I haven’t seen a steampunk YA novel I thoroughly enjoyed since the 2011 release of Goliath, so I have high hopes for this novel.
- Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst: Two words: Lesbian princesses. Need I say more?
Ah I also can’t wait for Empire of Storms!!

Though I read Crooked Kingdom last year (?), I still feel all the feels and the pain of that ending. It’s also a weirdly gratifying that the story is going to come to an end (re: duology). Although…I would obviously like to join the Dregs myself and just forever read about their heist stories haha.
Cheers,
Joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts.

AHHH. I meant Six of Crows LOL. I must be in a daze thinking I read Crooked Kingdom as I’ve been commenting about CK all day in these lists! How embarrassing.

So many of these books are on my most anticipated releases list as well! I cannot wait to get my hands on Strange the Dreamer, Crooked Kingdom and Empire of Storms. I need to find out what happens next to Celaena and everyone in Empire of Storms and Kaz and his crew in Crooked Kingdom, also I loved the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series so I cannot wait to see what Laini Taylor comes out with next.
Great picks for this week! 😀

A Torch Against the Night is on my list, too! After that ending in An Ember, I just can’t wait for Laia and Elias’s adventure to continue. And Of Fire and Stars has such a pretty cover and an interesting blurb.

Ooo, graphic novels. I’ve read a little of Saga, but haven’t really gotten into it yet. The same with Sex Criminals too, though the premise is so hilarious.

Great picks! Many of these are on my list as well, but I hadn’t heard of Timekeeper and I love YA fiction and steampunk, so I’m adding that one to my list!😊
